Accessibility

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to order and watch a Paw Story. We are working toward Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

What we have done

  • You can pick a story, make your film and check out with a keyboard alone.
  • Buttons, links and fields show a clear outline when they have focus.
  • Images have text alternatives.
  • Our films are music only, with no dialogue. Each one has a caption track and a short written description.
  • Pinch to zoom is never blocked.
  • A Pause motion button stops moving content and autoplaying videos.
  • Every film comes with a caption track and a note that it is music only. The film watch page uses your browser’s own video player; the gift page has a large play and pause button.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, we hold back autoplay and animation.
  • Forms and status messages work with screen readers: fields have labels, and errors and updates are read out.

Known limitations

  • Some of our older demo videos do not have a written description yet.
  • The card payment fields at checkout are provided by Stripe, our payment processor, so their accessibility is in Stripe’s hands.
